Having made a promise to her husband that their children would have an opportunity at the American Dream, Mamma Rosa arrived in New York City with her daughter and four sons in the spring of 1970.
This is the story of Mamma Rosa and her children...
Though the early years were a struggle, Mamma always had a way of turning the hardships into opportunities of instilling in her children core values through the lessons of life. Through chores and responsibilities, they learned the value of discipline, teamwork and commitment. They began working early on in their youth, and through the years gained much experience in the pizza industry in New York City. Then, in the summer of 1986, they opened their own pizzeria, Famous Famiglia, in the heart of New York City! In the years to follow, they opened several more pizzerias throughout New York City, winning awards with their quality and customer service standards. Hence, the Famous Famiglia pizza chain quickly became a leader in the New York pizza market and earned the title of "New York's Favorite Pizza."

The food was ok, but the service and delivery was horrible! Not only was the order wrong, the delivery guy gave me an attitude when I pointed it out to him!

Pizza is not bad, but they completely screwed up my order and I had to wait a long time for them to come and fix it.

This pizza was the worst pizza I've eaten so far in New York. It was soggy, cold, and basically tasteless. There was absolutely no way to doctor it and make it edible. Plus it had an unfortunate effect on my bowels. I will never order from here again.

I don't know how anyone could possibly rate this pizza above 2/5. Every other pizza experience I have had has been better than my experiences at Famous Famiglia.
